1) First of all... CONGRATS!!!!
2) Make Copies!!! I’m probably a little too obsessive with this, but always makes several copies of the forms that notify you of your winnings and the forms the sponsor asks you to fill out and return. It never hurts to keep copies of everything. I even scan my forms and keep them electronically.
3) Don’t be leery if a company sends you an affidavit after you win. This is a common form sent to you so that they can publicly list your name as winner in the sweep.
4) Be patient... this is one of the hardest rules to follow. Most prizes take up to two months to be delivered and if you're lucky the sponsor will give you a tracking number to satisfy your anxiety.
